Personality: Lulu is a very gentle filly, sweet and loving like her mother. She has time for everyone, except the vet, and takes pleasure in human interaction - particularly if they will scratch her neck and feed her treats. She is the exact opposite to her usual self around the vet, however - flighty and avoiding everyone until the evil is gone. In the pasture Loka is just as lovable as with humans. She seems to socialize with any horse that will get close and although she can be a little pushy is generally a central member of the herd. She is neither overly domineering or submissive, although she has a clearly aggressive streak when she is not getting her way on a bad day. Thankfully, such days are rare and she has never shown aggression towards people - just other horses. Like her father before her, Lulu is an energetic soul. She's always on the move, very forwards in training and thankfully (unlike her sire) eager to please. In the pasture it is not uncommon to see her cantering (or even galloping) around with her head high in the air and tail up. This is not a horse that will need to be trained to run, given her enjoyment in such activities, just to respond to her jockey and thrive in a competitive environment.
Leg Type: Front-Runner Lulu is a real show off before a race, head held up and looking around in the parade ring before being taken up to the track. She moves well when cantering to the gates, requiring no lead pony, and gates with very few hiccups - the one issue you might have is that she is over-eager and need to be slowed before entering the contraption. She starts with gusto, often at or close to the front of the field, but drops back quickly. It is perhaps not surprising that a horse like Lulu gravitates to the center of the field and stays there, neither too close to the leaders nor trailing at the back. It is easy to forget she is there, and that is something that she will take advantage of - lurking where she does not seem to be a threat. Lulu starts to slowly build pace throughout the second half of a race, finding herself with the preceders as they come out of the final turn and into the stretch. This is where she comes into her own. The gaps which invariable open up are perfect for her to run through, fueling her competitive drive and (in turn) her impressive burst of speed. While she isn't quite the closer her spurt in the stretch is noticeable and relentless. She has the speed and stamina of her parents, the desire to win, and the talent to bring victory home.
